Pakistan’s ambassador to Vietnam, H.E. Mrs. Samina Mehtab, and representatives from PIDE were present at the virtual signing of a landmark MoU on 17 February 2022 between Dr. Phao Cao Coung, Director General-in-Charge, Vietnam Institute for Indian and Southwest Asian Studies (VIISAS), and Ms. Durr-e-Nayab, Joint Director/Director (Research) on behalf of PIDE.
The comprehensive MoU covers areas of mutual interest to both institutions, and its signing is significant: Pakistan and Vietnam established formal diplomatic relations 50 years ago, in November 1972
