Muhammad Zeshan
About Me
Dr. Muhammad Zeshan heads the research group on Trade, Industry, and Productivity at the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), Islamabad, Pakistan.
Previously, he was working as a full-time Consultant at the Macroeconomics and Debt unit, the World Bank, USA, where he maintained and implemented Social Accounting Matrices and Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) models for various countries.
He was the lead researcher to develop the Pakistan Input-Output Table 2010-11 based on the most recent 2008 System of National Accounts. Muhammad is also the main contributor of various Pakistan input-output tables to the Global Trade Analysis Project (GTAP) research center, Purdue University, USA. These input-output tables are now part of the GTAP’s Multiregional Input-Output Tables.
